Visits to Vrolyk Farms and Korny Korners combine shopping with fun and relaxation
Deron Hamel – November 2, 2026
Residents from the Village on the St. Clair recently spent a day at two favourite spots in Sarnia that combined fall shopping with fun and relaxation.
On Oct. 16, the group of residents and team members from the seniors living community spent the day at Vrolyk Farms and Korny Korners Adventure Farm, with both spots proving to be a big hit with residents, says Evelyn Babcock, the Village’s fun co-ordinator.
Vrolyk Farms, which is owned by the family of one of the Village on the St. Clair’s team members, is renowned in Sarnia for its vegetables, plants and retail store.
During their visit, residents picked out pumpkins and chrysanthemums that are being used to decorate the front entrance of the Village. Residents also did some shopping for themselves, picking a variety of fresh produce and jams to bring home, Evelyn notes.
Evelyn says supporting local businesses is important to residents and the Village on the St. Clair team.
“We love supporting our local family-run businesses in Sarnia,” she tells S&R Today, adding that Vrolyk Farms “is an absolute favourite for our residents” and that the Village organizes a monthly visit.
The other stop that day was at Korny Korners, an “adventure farm” that is popular with children but has engaging activities for people of all ages. Some of the highlights at Korny Korners include a petting zoo, corn maze, zip lines and its famed bouncy house that looks like a giant chicken.
Evelyn says for residents and team members, the best part of the stop was watching children have fun.
“There was a children’s hockey team at Korny Korners, so we loved seeing all the kids having a blast on the giant chicken bouncy house,” she says.
